Optimism
After last week’s post, I heard a very strong message from my millenial, “socially connected” daughter. She said, "you need to participate in the World Parkinson Congress!" So here I am. And the interactions make me more optimistic than ever about the impact I anticipate for 2026-2027.
I talked science with several extraordinary people who also happen to be incredibly accomplished in the field. Topics ranged from biochemistry to detailed clinical trial designs. I met several experts for the first time who were already aware of our drug and our hypothesis. They were interested in learning more.
One highlight was meeting with our clinical trial partners in Australia – who bring scientific and operational expertise to the project along with a mindset of rigorously challenging assumptions – both mine and theirs.
It’s been a whirlwind couple of days of building relationships and sharing the data that support our approach. We have a revised strategy for getting into the clinic – and delivering clinical proof of concept data
More details will follow – it’s been a whirlwind couple of days. Time to head home and launch the next chapter.
