Making Progress
Yesterday, Jim McCann posted our conversation about the progress we're making at Right Brain Bio.
Jim and I met through our mutual friend Seth Godin, and he invited me on stage at his Techonomy conference for an introductory conversation (it's posted on our webpage at https://rightbrainbio.com). He invited me to his office to talk about our progress since that first conversation.
We start by discussing the way this journey started. My buddy Ivan asked me to help him as he was dwindling from the disease. If he were here, he'd probably describe these initial conversations in a derogatory tone since I was so resistant. He seemed to know I could do it, whereas I was convinced I could not.
A lesson: listen to people who know you. They may see greater capabilities in you than you realize you have.
I regret not figuring this out fast enough to help Ivan. But I continue to fight against the status quo to get the funding needed to conduct the first clinical trial. And I am privileged to meet and talk with Jim - smart, empathetic and special.
You can watch our conversation on youtube.
